Nefino.LI Geo is based on a geodatabase of more than 5,000 original datasets, which are grouped into 20 data categories such as cadastral units, aviation or regional planning and individually prepared in several hundred layers. Users can access prepared and custom templates for buffering and blending for processing.

Nefino.LI Geo is a web application with which developers of wind and solar parks can carry out detailed area analyses throughout Germany in order to identify suitable areas or to examine individual parcels of land or project areas in detail with regard to their suitability for approval under spatial planning law.

In total, more than 4,000 geodata and criteria are available in Nefino.LI Geo throughout Germany, which in turn are assigned to individual data clusters – e.g. nature conservation, landscape protection, settlement structure, state and regional planning and many more. Yes, we always have the current regional plan, i.e. the graphic representation with the corresponding geodata, for every federal state and every planning region in Germany. In a few exceptional cases, geo-TIFs, i.e. the graphic representation as a map, are stored.

Up-to-dateness is ensured by our own geodata management system. An individual update or check interval is stored for each geodata set – from monthly to annually. For example, there are monthly updates for the wind turbine inventory, quarterly check intervals for regional planning and annual updates for the settlement structure and the official building geometries. The individual update and check intervals can be found in the Nefino.LI Geo documentation.

Yes, parcels, parishes and districts can be exported as geodata for all German federal states with the exception of Bavaria. In addition, we have integrated a so-called “parcel finder”, with which you can navigate directly to the corresponding parcels in a map application by specifying the district, parcel and parcel.

There are various ways to define a study area for an analysis in Nefino.LI Geo. The simplest option is to click on a map application and define a radius of up to 2.5 km around the selected location. An alternative option is to upload your own geodata set in which the desired survey area is stored. It is also possible to analyze entire municipalities by selecting the corresponding municipality in the map above and taking the municipal boundaries into account in the analysis.

There are various ways to visualize or export the results of Nefino.LI Geo. On the one hand, it is possible to download the generated geodata directly in common file formats and integrate it into your own geoinformation system. On the other hand, it is possible to insert the downloaded geodata into a QGIS project. In the QGIS project, the geodata is then automatically named, visualized and clustered at the click of a mouse. In addition to the export options, it is also possible to visualize the results of an area analysis directly in the web viewer, i.e. in the web application.

As a Software-as-a-Service license model with monthly or annual costs. The amount of the costs depends largely on the number of monthly available queries and is influenced by the number of activated federal states in Germany. One query corresponds to the analysis of a circular survey area with a radius of up to 2.5 km. If entire municipalities are to be analyzed, Nefino.LI Geo calculates in advance how many queries must be used by the user.
